The Federation of Accounting Professions (TFAC) continues to promote regional cooperation in the accountancy profession by participating in the 114th Meeting of the ASEAN Coordinating Committee on Services (CCS), held on 19 - 20 October 2026 at the ASEAN Secretariat, Indonesia. The TFAC delegation comprised Assoc. Prof. Dr. Teerachai Arunruangsirilert, Chair of the Subcommittee on Accounting Profession Development and Sustainability, and Ms. Napat Liamsomboon, Foreign Service Officer, who attended the meeting as representatives of TFAC.
During the meeting, participants discussed the progress of the ASEAN Mutual Recognition Arrangement (MRA) on Accountancy Services, including initiatives to promote the mobility of professional accountants within the region and facilitate cross-border professional practice among ASEAN Member States. The meeting also reviewed updates on the development of the ASEAN CPA Website, the ASEAN CPA e-Certificate initiative, and the ASEAN Sustainability Knowledge Hub, which aim to support knowledge sharing and professional collaboration across the region.
The discussions further explored ways to strengthen cooperation among ASEAN professional accountancy organizations and to advance sustainability-related initiatives that support the continued development of the accountancy profession in the region.
TFAC’s participation in the meeting reflects its commitment to supporting the development of the Thai accountancy profession in line with ASEAN cooperation frameworks and enhancing the competitiveness and international recognition of Thai accounting professionals within the ASEAN community.
